Step into your Spring style 🌻

Okay everyone, it’s the start of October and we are already one month into Spring. (how is that even possible?!)

Heading into a new season can be daunting for some, especially when it means we need to start dressing for the warmer days. But, it doesn’t have to be as scary as you may think. A new season is a fantastic way to take a look at our wardrobe and remove anything that isn’t serving us anymore. I have three simple tips that will help you save time and look forward to dressing yourself in the morning, rather than dreading it!

As a qualified Personal Stylist, I recommend you do these things to ensure you are making the most of your outfits in the warmer weather.

  1. Declutter and re-organise your wardrobe.

    • Set aside a couple of hours to re-adjust what’s most prevalent when you open your wardrobe. If the space permits, put the winter clothes as far away as you can to make more room for the pieces you are going to pick to wear each day. This will save you time each morning! This could also include hanging some cooler pieces that may have been folded, and swapping the winter pieces out.

    • Organise your pieces by item. This will make it easier for you to find things, and again save time.

    • If you don’t have room to put your winter clothes away, pop those items in a moth-ball free suitcase or air-tight container to re-look at next April.

  2. Identify the gaps in your wardrobe. This will help create a shopping list for you. If you are unsure of what staples you should have in your wardrobe, download my free Wardrobe Essentials guide available here. This guide has been designed to help you find the best basics that everyone needs in their wardrobe.

  3. Try on your spring pieces and look at yourself in a mirror.

    • Notice how you feel and ask yourself these questions:

      1. Does it fit?

      2. Am I comfortable?

      3. What can I wear this with?

      4. Does this suit my current lifestyle?

        • If your answer is no to any of the above, consider donating or selling these items and take note of whether you need to re-fill this gap with an updated piece.

        • Take photos of the outfits you have curated, ensuring you are wearing the outfit with the accessories and shoes too. Pop these in a folder for you to refer back to when you need them!

If the above steps overwhelm you, I understand this may seem like a BIG task. But, trust me when I say doing these things will save you so much time and energy!
